Ferro Alloys:

Refers to various alloys of iron with a high proportion of one or more other elements such as Silicon, Manganese, Chromium, Vanadium, Titanium, Aluminum They are used in the production of steels, special steels and alloys. The alloy impart distinctive qualities to steel and cast iron or serve important functions during production and are, therefore, closely associated with the iron and steel industry. The major ferroalloys are Silico Manganese and Ferro Manganese key ingredients for steelmaking. Typical examples of end products comprise rail road rails, structural steel, automobile bodies, etc. for manganese alloys and stainless steel utensils, cutlery, watch bodies, dairy equipment, hand railings, etc. for chromium alloys
